Arranging an assessment

Appointments are made through the hospital's outpatient line or through the appointment service. If you are travelling from outside Chongqing, say so when you book, because the assessment and any pre-operative tests can sometimes be arranged across fewer visits. You can also use the contact page on this site to ask a question before booking.

What to bring

Bring any previous facial surgery records, a list of your current medicines and allergies, and the names of any conditions you are being treated for. If you have had injectable treatments, note when and where — the timing genuinely changes how a brow lift is planned. Old photographs of your face, if you have them, are more useful than you would expect, because they show how your brow sat before it descended.

What happens at the consultation

Expect an examination rather than a presentation. The surgeon will assess brow position at rest and in movement, test how much of the heaviness disappears when the brow is lifted by hand, and look at your hairline and hair pattern because they constrain the technique. You should leave knowing whether a brow lift is appropriate, what it would involve, what the recovery costs you, and what happens if you decide against it.

Asking a question without booking

Questions about the content of this site — including any correction you believe should be made to it — are welcome through the hospital's administration line. Clinical questions about your own case are best answered in person, and we will say so rather than guess.
